It is this style of hotel that will eventually take Alvors soul. All inclusive package holidays are not suited to quaint villages, please leave things as they are.

I hope this petition and other protests will prevent this ridiculous plan from going through. Although i believe that economic stimulation is good for Alvor, a hotel of this proportions in the unique old centre of the town is a bad idea and an eye soar. It will lead to enormous nuisance and damage for the local people and business owners. The centre will definitely loose its unique character and charm. There are still plenty of building opportunities on the outskirts of the town centre that is eligible for development. Let’s preserve this unique town centre!

Portugal has laws for the powerful and laws for the rest of us. Hotels disregard their neighbours and you will have constant battles as the authorities in Portugal turn a blind eye for businesses at the expense of ordinary people. The whole of the Algarve is full of stories where people have been stepped on and ignored. If you don't make a stand it is all over.

How did these plans even get this far!? They are completely out of keeping with this lovely village, in which I have lived for almost 20 years, and would be a massive blot on its beautiful landscape. Please do not allow this to happen.

The village of Alvor as to stay the way it is, that's what make is charm. If you built a big hotel, the view of this lovely village will be to much different. So, please I want to go back in this nice little village and I don't want to see a huge building.
